Was looking for an art project for one of my grandson's that could "travel". This stamp kit is very portable, I really like the way everything packs back into it. Good choice of stamps that will provide a lot of story time for the active imagination of my grandson.
The stamp pad is dry and will not come off on the stamps. Seems like you should be able to buy one of those rolling ink tubes to freshen it up so it would work.
My 6 year old daughter received this for Christmas. It's a perfect gift. She loves stamping. She loves spelling. She can now create her own cards and letters. If I had to complain about anything, I would have to say it's a bit difficult for her to pull out the stamps she wants because they are fit snug in the box. Not a big deal at all though. I would definitely recommend this product.

My niece wasn't supposed to open the packaging on gifts until she got back home (to avoid messes at Grandma's house), but we found her hiding behind the tree coloring with her new stamp set!
